Cake Booking Terms and FAQ

Terms and Conditions

Thank you for choosing to book with Bake for the Soul.

DEPOSIT

Bookings are considered speculative until a deposit or full amount is paid to secure the date and booking. An invoice will be sent once all the details have been agreed and is valid for 5 days from receipt. Once the deposit is received your booking is confirmed. Payment of the deposit is taken as your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and details of the invoice. The balance must be paid in full as stated on the invoice before collection or delivery.

PAYMENTS

Late payment or no payment is subject to cancellation of your order or modifications to the order and may incur an additional charge. Your deposit is non refundable as other bookings may have been refused to allow us to bake for you. However, one transfer to another date may be considered if available.

 CHANGING OR CANCELLING AN ORDER

In the unfortunate event that you have to cancel your order, please note that we may not be able to give a refund. As your cake is bespoke, certain components may be ordered in advance in order to complete the design. If you need to change the date or details of your order or cancel it altogether, please contact us as far in advance as possible. We will always be as accommodating as we can if you need to change or postpone an order. Please bear in mind that we may have had to turn away other customers to fulfil your booking for a particular date so refunds/changes are not always possible.

DESIGNING YOUR CAKE

Your cake will be created as specified in your enquiry email and invoice, please be sure that all of these details are accurate and as agreed before making your deposit payment. All cakes are bespoke, handmade creations and there may be some slight variation from the design requested or picture supplied, not only out of respect for the work of other cake artists but to ensure that your creation is unique for you and your someone special. Should you wish to make any alterations to your cake, you are asked to let us know as soon as possible. If it is possible to change your design, we reserve the right to increase the fee originally quoted in order to take into account these variations.

COLLECTION/DELIVERY

Please be sure to schedule your pick up/delivery time accurately. If you feel that you are going to be later than planned, please contact us as soon as possible. Failure to pick up your order the same day or contact us will result in your cake being sold off or raffled to another customer. Requesting to pick up your cake at any other location than what is specified in the Terms and Conditions will be considered delivery and will be subject to the appropriate delivery fees.

Bake for the Soul are not liable for damage due to handling once the cake has been picked up or delivered. If your cake is damaged after it is in your possession, we will assess the damages and may, if circumstances allow, offer to fix the cake for you. If we have to travel to you to repair your cake, mileage fees will be applied. In addition, further costs may be incurred depending on the severity of the damage to the cake

You are advised that when transporting your cake it should be kept in the box provided on a flat, clean surface. It should be out of direct sunlight. It should not be transported on a car seat. Please consider purchasing non slip matting to place below the cake box whilst it is in transit.
